Mykhailo Kravchuk is the author of the first dictionary of Ukrainian mathematical terminology. He is the world-famous KPI professor, thanks to whom the computer, television and 3D modeling became a reality.

​Kravchuk was a true patriot and during the years of Red oppression, he was the first to start giving lectures in Ukrainian. Unfortunately, later he had to answer for the consequences. For 20 years, Mykhailo Kravchuk worked on a great mathematical discovery, which was buried with him, somewhere in the distant Kolyma, due to Soviet authorities.
